With an eventful weekend behind us, Memorial Day itself is already starting out as a reflective and relaxing day to ease me back into the work week.  I just finished a cup of coffee after sharing homemade waffles with LC in the dining room.  As he folds laundry (both mine and his!) we have HGTV playing in the background, but neither one of us is really watching the television.  He is being domestic while I am being…well….me.  Finishing this blog entry before I formally turn my attention to the television, I will eventually make my way to my briefcase for what will end up being a marathon work session later this afternoon.

With a few weeks left of school there is so much I still need to get done before the students leave the building, then before the teachers leave the building a few weeks after that.  These tasks will be finalized today because tomorrow is when the school year kicks up into full speed and everything after today will seem like a blur.  The to-do list is ever growing and this the excitement that I crave  – its what keeps me moving and motivated!

But…today is Memorial Day…and before I start all of this work the two things I am NOT right now is moving and motivated!
