Yay!  Three days of fun, right?  Memorial Day weekend is here, beaches are open, and today begins the official “pool season” for most public pools.  The temperatures are rising and the skies are clear.  I am excited about the things we have planned for this weekend!

Today we are going to do some shopping, and we have an ice-cream date later this afternoon, meeting some friends for ice cream and walking around the city.  In the evening we are grilling outside and will host an evening gathering on the deck.  Fun!

Tomorrow is what I am most excited about – we are doing a six hour kayaking trip to a winery where we will end up doing a wine tasting and then dinner at the estate.  I love kayaking and have had some great experiences with friends in the past so I am looking forward to tomorrow’s adventure.  LC and I found this great idea from an outdoor adventures company on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and jumped at the chance to spend part of this long weekend on the water.  I am going for the wine, of course!  Dinner for two and a night at a bed and breakfast isn’t too shabby either.
