Happy Easter!

From my home to yours, wishing you a very special Easter Celebration, whatever form that may take!  Here in Cheverly, the table is set and desserts are made.  Glasses are prepped for the wine that will be poured and the last of the flowers have been planted and watered.

One of my favorite stories from David Sedaris has an ‘Easter theme’ which is not necessarily the focus of the story as much as is the theme of language and communication.  The title is “Jesus Shaves” and is a hilarious story of his experience in French class trying to learn the language with people from around the world who have little to no prior experience with the language – except one Moroccan woman who was the group’s know-it-all.  When the conversation moved to a discussion of Easter and the vocabulary that would go along with the celebration, hilarity ensued.  Here, listen for yourself.  You be the judge!

Happy Easter!  Mwah!
