I think I said that to about 50 people today at work.  The sun is shining and even though we are dealing with a brief cold spell after a week or so of gawgeous temperatures there is much to smile about.  Sure, some days are tougher than others and that’s why a reminder to smile is sometimes necessary.

This has been a very eventful week.  Lots of meetings have filled my calendar, And I found out something that is just awesome…

I found out yesterday that I am going back to Disney in a few weeks.  Yay!  Me and a few other principals will be going to Disney and staying at the Coronado Springs Resort on the Disney property as we attend the ASCD Convention (Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development).  I have been an ASCD member for a long time and this will be the first convention I have ever attended.  It will be for six days in the middle of March and I can’t wait to go, all expenses paid!  Oh, yea, to the convention I mean!  LC is excited too and will be taking a day or two off from his work as a lawyer for the government to join me in my trip – we will be making it a mini-vacation since a weekend trip to Las Vegas is currently in the works.  Busy, Busy!

I promise not to run 39.3 miles while I am down there and will be intent on attending all of the workshops through each of the days I will be there.  I promise – although LC already has our dinner plans set.  He was a busy bee last night researching all of the places around the resort we will be staying in and preparing a list of potential spots.

Speaking of dinner, Restaurant Week starts Monday of this coming week in DC and each of my nights is already set with reservations.  Thanks to LC who did the computer reservations and took the list of places we wanted to go and made all of the reservations a reality – working for the government certainly has its perks and I miss some of those!  Well, I really can’t complain – Disney, here I come!
