Not only is it raining outside, but inside as well.  After an unsettling e-mail followed by a notice that arrived in the mail, today was not the best….and there is still more time left in the day!  Yes, I was able to reorganize the kitchen pantry, and even put a fresh coat of paint on the bathroom door, but my head is throbbing with the thought of the implications regarding these notices.  Argh!

The one thing I will share is that the mortgage company must not have collected enough money each month this year for taxes and city services because I received a nice notice in the mail today notifying me that the monthly mortgage payment will be going up almost three hundred dollars.  What?  Why?  Because there is a $1400 deficit from the escrow collection due to “unanticipated” increases.  Whatever.  The payment can be made either in one lump sum or broken down over the next twelve months.  Either way, the payment is going up up up.  Not what I wanted to receive in the mail today after what was a less than satisfying morning – all having to do with finances.

Sure, I made some freshly baked scones which were yummy.  Today was a difficult day to recognize the sweetness of the baked treats since my mind was clouded with scenarios and options that all ended with negative results after I tried for hours to pursue them, meeting dead end after dead end.

I am supposed to meet HAM and RAM tonight for dinner in Reston but my stomach has been unsettled and frequent entries past the freshly painted door has been the extent of my exercise so far today.  I am trying to pull my stomach together but it is not looking optimistic for tonight’s trip.  I just might stay in and go to sleep early.
