The last time I took a cab was a few weeks ago when I returned from Boston and made it back too late to catch the metro from the airport to Cheverly.  It certainly was not the cash cab.  What is the cash cab, you may ask?  Well, it is a television game show I am watching as this entry is typed.  It is a really cool concept.  Let me explain.

This cab travels around New York City and as individuals in search of a cab happen to get chosen, they enter and immediately the interior of the cab lights up and the show begins.  As they travel toward their destination, they are asked questions and earn money for each correct answer given.  The questions get more difficult as they get closer to their final destination but they have the opportunity to call one person for help as well as use a sidewalk shout-out where they pull over and ask a stranger on the street for help.  Like baseball, three strikes and they are out – but this is literally what happens.  On three strikes, or three incorrect answers, they lose the money (if any) that is gained by answering the right questions, and they are let out right where they got the last wrong answer, even if it is nowhere near their final destination!  How awesome is that!

In a time where naughty reality shows permeate the television, this game show is a fresh addition to evening boob tube watching.

OMG, after reading that last statement I wrote I certainly sound like a prude…who uses the word “naughty” to describe television shows anymore?  Geez…
