Where is Hunger?

Yup.  Today is Wednesday.  How is that for excitement?  Still not eating much, just no appetite exists after lunch.  Breakfast usually consists of a bowl of raisin bran and a cup of coffee.  For lunch I grab something from the school cafeteria which has portion sizes of three ounces.  Yes, three ounces.  How is anyone satisfied by a portion size of three ounces.  Well, I am.  Coming home in the evening, usually arriving later than I would normally like, I am just not hungry.

Today I ran.  Some issues popped up at work while I was away at some professional development and so I ended the day with a desire to run.  Is that literal or figurative, I am not quite sure. Anyway, I got my sneakers on and took a nice thirty minute run, focusing on hills today.  I ended with a good workout and a relaxed feeling – something I truly enjoy.  Still, no hunger.  I decided to eat a handful of pasta noodles with some tuna because I know I need to eat, especially after running.

On the scale this morning, I dropped another two pounds.  In total that would be about nine pounds in six weeks. Good, I suppose.  Right?

I have been taking the metro to work, walking from the house to the train and then constantly using the stairs at school instead of the elevator.  We have a five-story building so the steps are plentiful!  A walk just under a mile each way from the house, to and from the metro, began and ended my work days so far this week.  Tomorrow is a ‘car’ day since I am going to be carrying lots of books to the office, resources I got at today’s workshop.  Friday is back to walking.

So, now I sit at home after a light dinner, reading some magazines that have come in the mail today and eying the bed that awaits me for a long night’s sleep…
