Subway from Cheverly to DC…DC to Boston…Subway from Boston to Cambridge…Subway from Cambridge to Boston…Boston to NYC…NYC to DC…Cab ride back from the airport. I am tired.

Had a wonderful weekend in Cambridge with T.  Arriving on an early flight on Friday, I met him for lunch after his morning class.  We walked for a bit and ended back at the apartment and took a well earned late afternoon nap!  Later that evening, we headed out for tex-mex dinner and then a movie…followed by a trip to the chocolatier for some hot chocolate and tasty merengues.  We took a brief stop on a park bench and people watched as we tasted the merengues and sipped our hot drinks.  Back to the apartment for an evening of chatting and time together.  Awwww…

Saturday morning began with some fresh scones and hot coffee.  T and I ventured into Boston in the afternoon to do some walking, sip some free Starbucks at a street festival we joined, and then walked through downtown and landed in Chinatown for some Dim Sum.  The restaurant we went to was referred from an article in this month’s Improper Bostonian magazine.  What a great catch!!  The food was plentiful and, as usual, we ordered more than we could eat!  This meal was preceded by some window shopping so our appetites were there, but not big enough to handle the onslaught of dumplings and ribs in black bean sauce and beef lo mein and steamed pork bun…and the list goes on and on.  T mentioned how the ribs in black bean sauce is his sister’s favorite dish and now I know why!! Yum!!

After stuffing ourselves at dinner, we waddled over to the Boston Opera House to see A Chorus Line before it closed Sunday.  We saw the second to last performance and it was an enjoyable evening.  We had great seats and suffice to say that T was not too embarrassed because I held in the sudden temptation to do my kicks  along with the cast during the reprise of the famous song “One.”  I did it in my heart and that’s all that matters!

Making it home in time for Saturday Night Live, we sat and laughed at our shared favorite Tina Fey as she continued her dead-on impersonation of Gov. Palin.  Is Tina Fey great?  You betcha!!  Some time, I am not too sure, we drifted off to sleep while talking.

Sunday morning was a late morning for us, waking after 11am.  Yikes, can you believe it??  We went to brunch, walked for a bit, and then made it back to the apartment for…you guessed it…a late afternoon nap!  It was a nap that lasted until almost 5:30 when I realized I had to hop on the subway to get to the airport.  A few hours later I am home typing this blog entry.

Where did the weekend go?  It flew right by.  What’s left are memories and excitement for the next trip.  In just a few more weeks (Halloween to be exact!!) T and I will be meeting up in NYC to start the marathon weekend as we will be running the ING Marathon in NYC on Sunday, November 2, 2008.  Come and join us, in person or in spirit!

Until then, I am still tired, even with all the napping we did this weekend!  Picture uploading will be saved for Monday.  Time for bed since the alarm will be ringing in about three hours!  Ut oh, am I going to be grumpy on Monday!  Nah, I’ll just think back to this weekend and smile.

Awwww….
