I am finishing up my three-day seminar this morning and heading back home.  The rain has been pouring down which often makes for slow travel but I am not too far from our home.  T and I have plans tonight to share a meal at a nice restaurant in DC and I can’t wait to see him and be home.  He has been so good and taking care of the thousand tasks that were left to him as I scurried away to NJ for training.  He was left with the house construction, the tremendous amount of work he does at DCPS each day, overseeing the contractors in the house and their inquiries, as well as preparing for a house guest we will be hosting who comes in this afternoon.  Just writing about it makes me tired!

Both T and I will be making our way to New York City tomorrow morning to begin a nice, long weekend away.  We will be celebrating our 2nd Anniversary (which officially is Monday, July 28th) by seeing a show or two on Broadway, having some nice meals together, and sharing time as we walk and most likely shop.  This time away from work, house construction, and everything that waits for us in DC will be a good break and an opportunity to reflect upon the last two years we have spent as partners and the many steps we have taken together since first meeting and later making the commitment to one another.

But, first, I must get home and unpack…
